We envisioned Pro Message while coaching a high school football team. Although they did not have the best talent, when focused and motivated, they could win games. We started sending the players daily text messages and it became a battle cry. They won their division and beat teams that were far more talented. We worked hard to instill the desire and the belief that failure was not an option. It was a simple thing that truly affected their lives. Players from that team still contact us today expressing thanks for the positive motivation. That experience brought Pro Message to reality. Vince Lombardi said,” Hard work is the price we pay for success. I think you can accomplish anything if you are willing to pay the price.”
We need these reminders. The power of these daily reminders motivated and changed the lives of my teams on the field, and also in the real world. It helped us realize that motivation is very powerful and the effect it has on people is priceless. Pro Message was designed to give nuggets of encouragement to everyone, every day.
At the same time, our society has become dependent on cell phones. Without the deliverability of the message and the ease of access, the motivational message would be lost.
